School Accountability Report Cards (SARC)

School Accountability Report Card

The School Accountability Report Card (SARC) is an annual report required of all California public and nonpublic, nonsectarian schools which provides information to the community to allow public comparison of schools for student achievement, environment, resources and demographics. Because the SARC relies on data collected over the course of the entire year, the most recent report often appears a year out of date. For example, in order to prepare the SARC for the 2022-23 school year, schools must wait for all the data from that year to be collected and reported which doesn't typically happen until the following fall, and since schools then need time to prepare the report, the 2022-23 SARC won't be published until February 1, 2024. Until then, the 2021-22 SARC is the most recent.
